As of May 2009, The Race For Education has awarded more than $2.5 million in scholarships and funding for other educational programs to over 260 students. Our primary fundraising initiative- the RACEHORSE NOMINATION PROGRAM- invites racehorse owners to nominate their horses to the program and agree to donate a percentage of the horses’ earnings to the foundation. Other significant funding comes from federal programs and our partnership with Thoroughbred Charities of America’s Annual Stallion Season Auction.
All operating expenses are provided by a private donation; therefore, 100% of your contribution goes to fund scholarships and student programs.
